(CENTRAL FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious collision on Highway 7 in Central Frontenac Township that has left one person deceased.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at approximately 4:00 pm, members of the Frontenac Detachment of the OPP were called to a vehicle collision on Highway 7, between McQuaid Road and Silver Lake Provincial Park. The collision involved a car and a coach bus with over 30 passengers. As a result of the incident, the driver of the car, a 29-year-old from Kitchener, is deceased. The driver of the bus was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries; no other injuries were reported.
Frontenac/Lanark County Paramedic Services, Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue, Ministry of Transportation, and OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist assisted Frontenac OPP in response to the incident.
