(CARLING, ON) - The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person after a multi vehicle collision

On October 1, 2025, at approximately 1:00 pm members of the West Parry Sound OPP were dispatched to a report of a collision involving multiple vehicles on Highway 69 near Woods Road in Carling Township. Several people were brought to a Parry Sound area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and others were treated at the scene.

Albert VEENSTRA, 54 years-of-age of Drayton Ontario was charged with careless driving.

The highway was closed for several hours during the investigation and clean up and has since reopened.
