OPP LOOKING TO IDENTIFY A SUSPECT INVOLVED IN MULTIPLE LCBO SHOPLIFTS


(ESSA, ON.) - Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating multiple shoplifts involving the same suspect and are requesting the public’s assistance to identify the individual involved.

On July 10, 2025, shortly after 2:30 pm Nottawasaga OPP responded to a shoplift incident at a LCBO located on Commerce Road in Essa Township.

Video evidence obtained shows one male enter the store placing two bottles of 1800 Blanco Tequila, one bottle of Royal Reserve, and one bottle of Junction 56 Whiskey worth a total of $199.80 into a bag then departing the store.

On July 12, 2025, shortly after 6:00 pm Nottawasaga OPP responded to another shoplift incident at a LCBO located on Commerce Road in Essa Township.

Video evidence obtained shows the male enter the store placing two bottles of Smirnoff Vodka, one bottle of Appleton’s Rum worth $211.80 into a bag then departing the store.

The suspect is described as: White male, approximately 45 years old, short brown hair, thin moustache, tattoo on left forearm, circle like scar on left cheek, carrying a reusable shopping bag.
