Two ATV’s Recovered

(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON) - A call from a security company reporting suspicious activity at a Tay Township business resulted in members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigating and ultimately making two arrests and recovering two stolen ATV’s overnight.

At approximately 1:10 am September 22, 2025, responding officers observed the two ATV’s both being driven away from a West Service Road business and through investigation and later assistance from the OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) located and apprehended the two responsible individuals at 3:13 am from an outdoor building on Mitchell’s Beach Road, Tay Township.

Charged in connection to this investigation is Martin MOORE, 35 years of Tay Township with the following criminal charges- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada

Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Dangerous operation

Resist Peace Officer

Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence

Trespassing at Night (two counts)

Also charged is Brandon MOORE, 37 years of Tay Township with the following criminal charges.

Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Trespassing at Night

Failure to comply with undertaking

Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence

Both accused persons are being held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
