OPP REQUESTING HELP TO IDENTIFY SUSPECT IN BREAK-AND-ENTER INVESTIGATIONS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual linked to a series of incidents, including two break-and-enters, in Houghton.

At approximately 5:07 am on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious person on Norfolk County Road 28 in Houghton.

The investigation revealed that an unidentified male - described as having a thin build, a scruffy beard, and wearing a dark baseball cap, dark t-shirt, long pants, and boots - arrived at the location on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), which was later confirmed to have been stolen from an address on Swimming Pool Road in La Salette. The individual then left the ATV behind and fled the area on foot.

The following day, two break-and-enters were reported near the location where the stolen ATV was recovered. Police believe the same individual is connected to all three incidents.
