(NOËLVILLE, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sudbury Detachment are investigating a fatal, single-vehicle collision that occurred in Noëlville, in the Municipality of French River.

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, shortly after 2:30 pm, officers received reports of an SUV that was upside down in several feet of water alongside Mayer Road. Two people exited the vehicle on their own, while a third person was pulled out and resuscitation efforts were underway. 

The front passenger in the vehicle, an 18-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Noëlville Emergency Medical Services, Noëlville Fire Department and OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionists are assisting officers of the Sudbury Detachment with the ongoing investigation.
