(KENORA, ON) - Over the past 24 hours, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in the Kenora area have responded to multiple reports of thefts from motor vehicles.

Thieves targeted unlocked vehicles and vehicles where valuables were visible.

Police are reminding residents to take proactive steps to deter opportunistic thieves. The OPP urges all vehicle owners to:

• Always lock your vehicle, even if parked in your driveway
• Never leave keys or key fobs inside the vehicle
• Remove all valuables from plain sight
• Park in well-lit areas when possible
• Report any suspicious activity to police immediately
