(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) - Driver charged with impaired as a result of OPP RIDE Program.

On October 12, 2025, at 10:00 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Hagerty Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.  

A vehicle attempted to elude the RIDE program at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

As a result, Dustin MCNAUGHTON, a 20-year-old of Southwest Middlesex, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous operation
  • Driver - fail to properly wear seat belt
  • Drive without proper headlights - motor vehicle
  • Drive without proper rear light - motor vehicle
  • Fail to notify change of address - licence

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on November 19, 2025, to speak to the charges.
