(SOUTH FRONTENAC TWP., ON) - Investigators are asking for assistance from the public after a collision in South Frontenac Township, west of Harrowsmith, destroyed a hydro pole.

Officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the incident on Petworth Road, just after midnight on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

A vehicle had left the road and struck the pole, which was snapped in two, leaving wires hanging dangerously low.

The vehicle, believed to be a white or silver, four-door pick-up truck, equipped with a light bar on the roof on in the grill, fled the scene following the crash, and was last seen heading north on Petworth Road. The driver had been seen outside the vehicle, and was described as a while, heavy-set male. He was seen speaking to someone in another vehicle which had stopped following the collision.

The pick-up will have significant damage to the front end and the right passenger door.
