(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an Orangeville resident with impaired driving-related offences following a public complaint.
On July 4, 2025, shortly after 6:30 pm, officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Townline in the Town of Orangeville. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the male driver and observed signs of impairment, prompting them to initiate an impaired driving investigation.
Logan COTTON, a 37-year-old male, from Orangeville has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin)
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
