OXFORD OPP INVESTIGATE FATAL COLLISION


(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) - A collision involving two commercial motor vehicles (CMV) on Highway 401 has claimed one life.

On November 13, 2025, at approximately 7:00 am, members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment, Paramedic Services and Fire Services responded to a collision on Highway 401, in the eastbound lanes, east of Oxford Road 29, in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.

Upon arrival, emergency services located a CMV that had struck the rear of another CMV while travelling in the eastbound lanes. The driver of one of the CMVs, a 26-year-old male from Brampton, was pronounced deceased at scene, while the other driver did not require medical attention.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 between Oxford Road 29 and Cedar Creek Road are currently closed while members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continue to investigate the collision.
