OXFORD OPP INVESTIGATE FATAL COLLISION
(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) - A single motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 has claimed one life.
On December 19, 2025, at approximately 6:39 pm, members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment, Paramedic Services and Fire Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 401, in the eastbound lanes, near Oxford Road 22, in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.
Upon arrival, emergency services located a single motor vehicle that had been involved in a collision. A 19-year-old passenger, from London, Ontario, was transported to local area hospital with serious life-threatening injuries and has since been pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries while a second passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 between Oxford Road 29 and Cedar Creek Road are currently closed while members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continue to investigate the collision.
