(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) - The Oxford Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a case of animal cruelty after young dogs were located abandoned, while one was located deceased.

On November 2, 2025, at approximately 11:30 am, members of the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a report of a deceased dog that was located on Township Road 8, in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim. Police attended and located a deceased dog in a nearby ditch.

The OPP has reported the matter to the Provincial Animal Welfare Service who has taken carriage of the investigation.
