PEMBROKE RESIDENT FACING SEVERAL CHARGES AFTER TRAFFIC STOP


(PEMBROKE, ON) - Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a Pembroke resident with multiple driving-related offences after a traffic stop in the City of Pembroke.      

On October 17, 2025, just after 12:45 am, police conducted a traffic stop for speeding in excess of 50 km/h over the posted speed limit on Pembroke Street East in the City of Pembroke.  As part of the investigation a Roadside Screening Device was utilized, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.  

As a result of this incident Dylan EGAN, age 29, is charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) and Highway Traffic Act (HTA) offences:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus
  • Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt, excessive speed
  • Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days as a result of the impaired driving charges. The accused also had their licence suspend for 30 days and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days as a result of the stunt driving charge. 

The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 10, 2025.
