(LAIRD TOWNSHIP, ON) - A person was charged after crashing car into median on Highway 17 near Townline Road.

On July 19, 2025, at approximately 5:00 pm the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call pertaining to a vehicle stuck in the median and a loan male driver in an intoxicated state.  Police attended, arrested the driver and the grey car was towed and impounded.   

Tyler MOISES, 31-years-old, from Echo Bay was charged with:

• Operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs
• Dangerous operation

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on September 4, 2025.
