(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) - On July 11, 2025, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a person in relation to a mischief at an OPP detachment.

On January 11, 2025, at approximately 4:00 am an individual high on drugs attended the Hillside Drive North detachment and caused a disturbance in the lobby. The man was very belligerent, threatening, and uncooperative with police. He was subsequently arrested and later that morning smeared his own feces all over the walls of the cell.    

John James COLQUHOUN, 66-years-old from Elliot Lake, was charged with - Mischief under $5000.

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on July 12, 2025.
