(CORUNNA, ON) - The Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fail to remain motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the Town Corunna.

 On December 17, 2025, just before 5:40 pm, police responded to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Beckwith Street between Nantais Court and Colborne Street.

 The investigation determined that an individual was walking along the shoulder of the roadway when they were struck by a vehicle from behind. The involved vehicle failed to remain at the scene and was last observed travelling eastbound.

 The pedestrian was assessed and treated at the scene by Lambton County Emergency Medical Services for minor injuries.

 The vehicle involved sustained damage to the front passenger-side mirror. Based on the debris located at the scene, police believe the vehicle may be a 2010 to 2017 Chevrolet Equinox.

 Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and driver involved.
