POLICE SEEK PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN ARSON INVESTIGATION
(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an individual linked to an ongoing arson investigation in Simcoe.
On Monday, December 8, 2025, at approximately 8:29 am, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported arson at a residence on Kent Street South in Simcoe.
The investigation revealed that at around 8:24 am, an unidentified individual-described as wearing a black jacket, grey pants, brown boots, and a dark face covering-applied an accelerant to the entryway of the building and ignited it. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading south on Kent Street South. The fire caused minor damage, and no injuries were reported.
