The Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding property owners to check their seasonal properties, camps, cabins, and outbuildings following a recent series of Break and Enter and Theft occurrences reported in the area.
On Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, members of the Red Lake OPP executed a search warrant at a residence in Red Lake, resulting in the recovery of items believed to be connected to these occurrences.
Over the past several weeks, police have received multiple reports of Break and Enter, Theft, and property damage at both local and remote seasonal locations throughout the Red Lake area. As investigations continue, police are urging the public to inspect their seasonal properties as soon as possible.
Property owners are encouraged to check camps, cabins, and outbuildings for any signs of forced entry or damage, confirm all property is accounted for, and report any suspicious activity or missing items to police immediately.
