(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a theft from a business on Raglan St. South, in the Town of Renfrew.

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, at approximately 10:50 am, Renfrew OPP witnessed a person fleeing from a store on foot and was being chased by store employees.

Police located the individual and formed grounds for an arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Gabrielle CARTHY age 23 of Renfrew was charged with two counts of theft under $5000- shoplifting.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on September 17, 2025.
