RIDE CHECK RESULTS IN SEVERAL CHARGES FOR FERGUS RESIDENT


(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Fergus resident has been charged with several offences following a RIDE check traffic stop.

On October 9, 2025, at approximately 3:00 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit was conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Gordon Street in Fergus, when they came across a prohibited driver.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher SUDAK, a 44-year-old from Fergus, was charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while prohibited - legal restriction from any other Act of Parliament or Provincial Law
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
