(FRENCH RIVER, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program.
On Wednesday November 12, 2025, at approximately 8:55 pm, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on Delamere Road, French River.
One driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Roger THOMAS, 67 years-of-age, from Alban, was charged with, operation while impaired - alcohol and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday December 3, 2025, in Sudbury.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
