(ESSEX, ON)- Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex Detachment took another impaired driver off the road as the result of a R.I.D.E. check in the Town of Essex.

On August 6, 2025, at approximately 9:30 pm, Essex OPP set up a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on Talbot Street South in Essex.

As a result, Jason DAVIES, a 51-year-old resident of Essex, has been charged with:

• Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on August 19, 2025.
