ROAD RAGE LEADS TO INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE CASE

(CARLETON PLACE, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers investigated a complaint of road rage in Carleton Place on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Officers located the involved parties, and the investigation resulted in the arrest of a 49-year-old man.

The male has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault
  • Utter threats
  • Criminal harassment
  • Dangerous operation of motor vehicle

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, July 16, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
