(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) - A robbery at a Highway 21 business in Saugeen First Nation has led to multiple criminal charges against a local individual.

On Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, at approximately 8:52 pm, members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a robbery at a business located on Highway 21 in Saugeen First Nation.

It was reported that a person entered the business armed with a knife and demanded money from an employee. The individual fled the scene with a quantity of cash and merchandise.

The individual was arrested a short time later without incident.

James FARR, 31-years-old, from Saugeen First Nation has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Robbery with Weapon
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

The accused was held pending a bail hearing scheduled for October 9, 2025, before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
