(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - Several unlocked vehicles were entered and items removed as well as buildings accessed in Haldimand County.

On July 17, 2025, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated several vehicle entries on Abbey Road, Tyneside Road, Haldimand Road 66, Moores Road and Pike Creek Drive, in rural Caledonia and Cayuga.

The investigation determined that insecure vehicles were entered by unknown individuals during the early morning hours.

A quantity of property was removed from the vehicles and once access was gained to those vehicles, further access to garages and outbuildings was gained with remote garage door openers.

Among the items stolen, were a 2021 black coloured Dodge Ram pickup truck, a 2018 orange coloured BMW which has since been recovered, a 2018 black coloured Yamaha All Terrain Vehicle, a 2025 light green coloured Kawasaki off-road vehicle as well as several power tools, and loose change.
