(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) - Individual charged after sex assault investigation in North Middlesex.

On September 1, 2025, at 12:18 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address in North Middlesex for the report of a sex assault.

The Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit assisted with the investigation.

The victim and accused were known to each other.

As a result, a 62-year-old of No fixed address, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

• Sexual Interference
• Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
