(MALAHIDE, ON) - The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following a report of sexual assault.

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at approximately 1:14 pm, members of the Elgin OPP were dispatched to an address in Malahide Township for a report of sexual assault.

As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old from Elgin County was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

• Sexual Assault
• Sexual Interference

The accused was held for bail in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on Wednesday, October 16, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
