(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) - Officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a person following a shoplifting incident.

On July 3, 2025, at approximately 11:45 am, police responded to a report of theft in progress at a commercial premises on Prince Edward Street in the Municipality of Brighton.

OPP arrived at the location and took one individual into custody.

As a result, Amanda MOCHULLA (32) from Belleville, has been charged with:

• Theft under $5,000 - shoplifting

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in August.
