(WEST PERTH, ON) - One person is injured following a single motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of West Perth.

On August 26, 2026 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Perth County Paramedic Services and West Perth Fire Department, responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Perth Line 39.

The motor vehicle left the roadway and collided with a hydro pole resulting in a localized power outage. The lone occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a local trauma centre, where his injuries were deemed to be non-life threatening.

Perth Line 39 was temporarily closed, but has since been reopened. Hydro One has been notified and is working to restore power to the area.
