SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO CHARGES
(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - A driver was taken into custody following a single vehicle collision.
On January 5, 2026, at approximately 1:45 pm, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision on New Credit Road, Mississaugas of the Credit, First Nation.
The investigation determined that a passenger vehicle occupied by the driver and one passenger left the roadway at that location. No injuries were reported.
Jordan GENERAL, 33-years-old from Ohsweken has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Drive Motor Vehicle - No Licence
- Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle
- Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on February 3, 2026.
