(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) - Driver charged with Impaired after single-vehicle collision in Lucan Biddulph.

On June 17, 2025, at 12:32 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex London Paramedic Service and Lucan Biddulph Fire were dispatched to Richmond Street (Highway 4) at Clandeboye Drive in Lucan Biddulph for report of a single-vehicle collision.

Early investigation revealed a vehicle travelling on Richmond Street (Highway 4), left the road and collided with a hydro pole and tree.

The driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries where they were placed under arrest.

As a result, Eric SMITH, a 22-year-old of Lucan has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - Alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 10, 2025.
