(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) - Driver facing charges as a result of a single vehicle collision investigation.

On July 16, 2025, at 1:46 pm, a member of the Oneida Nation Police Service while on general patrol on Hazel Road in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, observed a vehicle in the ditch.  

The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex County OPP detachment.

As a result, Randy HILL, a 69-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Drive motor vehicle - no licence
  • Drive motor vehicle, no plates

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 19, 2025.
