(DUTTON-DUNWICH, ON) - The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin Detachment, has charged an individual following a single vehicle collision on Highway 401, Dutton-Dunwich.
On July 28, 2025, at approximately 12:12 pm, police responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 401 in the eastbound lanes. A pickup truck came to rest against the guide rail in the centre median.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Gregory STURGEON-DOXTATOR, a 27-year-old from London was charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, and
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available (Liquor Licence Act)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on September 2, 2025.
