(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) - Driver charged with Impaired after vehicle enters ditch on Highway 402.

On July 11, 2025, at 6:31 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the Westbound lanes of Highway 402 in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, for the report single vehicle collision at the Longwoods Road on-ramp.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Keanna ALATE, a 28-year-old of Ingersoll has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

• Operation while impaired - alcohol
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
• Fail to have insurance card

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 25, 2025.
