SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH NEAR SMITHS FALLS
One Person With Life-Threatening Injuries
(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY, ON) - One person suffered life-threatening injuries in an overnight crash west of Smiths Falls.
On Saturday, November 8, 2025, shortly before 1:00 am, members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the single vehicle collision on Highway 43, just west of Glenview Road.
A pick-up truck had been westbound when it left the road.
The driver, a 33-year-old man from Perth, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by Lanark County Paramedics to a regional trauma centre. The male had been alone in the vehicle.
The investigation by Lanark OPP is continuing, with assistance from an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator.
Highway 43 remained closed until approximately 2:00 pm
