(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) - The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following a disturbance in Selkirk.

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, at approximately 3:50 pm, members of the Haldimand Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team responded to a disturbance on Lakeview Lane.

During the interaction, officers discharged a less-lethal device. An individual was transported to a hospital for assessment.
