(DUFFERIN COUNTY)  - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an Orangeville resident with impaired driving-related offences following a traffic complaint.

On July 26, 2025, just before 9:00 am, Dufferin OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver at a retail location on Broadway in the Town of Orangeville.  Officers located the vehicle and after speaking with the male driver, officers observed signs of impairment and initiated an impaired driving investigation.

Panayio DIAKOLOUKAS, a 47-year-old male, from Orangeville has been charged with:

• Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
