(CHATHAM KENT, ON) - Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with Driving While Prohibited on Highway 401.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at approximately 8:37 pm, police stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on Highway 401 in the Municipality of Chatham Kent.

As a result of the investigation, Michael OLSEN a 28-year-old from Windsor was charged under the Criminal Code with Operation While Prohibited and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

A 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released on an Undertaking and scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
