STOLEN U-HAUL RECOVERED IN SIMCOE
Driver Facing Charges
(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged in connection with an investigation into a stolen vehicle that fled from police the day prior.
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at approximately 12:44 pm, a Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol when they observed a U-Haul truck parked on Queensway East in Simcoe. The same vehicle had been involved in an incident on Sydenham Street in Simcoe the previous day, during which officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver struck a police cruiser before fleeing the area.
Through investigation, officers learned the vehicle had been reported stolen in the City of Brantford. After interacting with the driver, officers took the individual into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle then led to the seizure of stolen property.
As a result, 32-year-old Eric STYLES of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:
- Theft, - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
