(SOUTH-WEST OXFORD, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment identified a stolen vehicle while on general patrol in South-West Oxford Township.

On August 29, 2025, at approximately 3:45 pm, members of the Oxford OPP were notified of a stolen vehicle with an alert through the Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested.

A 35-year-old resident of Sudbury, has been charged with:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Flight From Peace Officer
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Operate Motor Vehicle While Prohibited (four counts)
  • Operation While Impaired
  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
  • Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Drive While Under Suspension (two counts)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts)
  • Disobey Order of Court

A 26-year-old resident of Hamilton, has been charged with:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
  • Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts)

Both accused individuals have been remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing through the Ontario Court of Justice.
