(ALFRED-PLANTAGENET, ON) - The detection and recovery of a stolen car in Alfred-Plantagenet have led to the seizure of illegal drugs and burglary tools.

A member of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting routine traffic enforcement on Cunty Road 17 on Thursday, October 2, 2025, shortly after 11:00 pm, when his automated licence plate recognition system detected a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped without incident.

The officer placed the two individuals in the car under arrest. A search of the vehicle located suspected crystal methamphetamine and weapons, as well as a stolen package and stolen licence plate, and a radar detector.

Alexander COOK, age 30 of Kingston, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Theft of a vehicle
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Driving with cannabis readily available
  • Failing to properly wear a seatbelt
  • Using a plate not authorized for a vehicle
  • Driving a vehicle with a speed measuring warning device
  • Failing to comply with a probation order

This accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on November 5, 2025.

 Kameisha MARSDEN, age 29 of Kingston, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Theft of a vehicle
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Failing to properly wear a seatbelt

This accused remains in custody with a bail hearing scheduled to continue before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on November 18, 2025.
