STREET CRIME UNIT EXECUTES WATERFORD SEARCH WARRANT

One Individual Charged

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual is facing multiple charges following a drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Haldimand/Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at approximately 4:49 am, members of the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU, with assistance from the West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Concession 8 Townsend in Waterford as part of the investigation.

Officers took one individual into custody without incident upon entry. A subsequent search of the residence led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, oxycodone, Dilaudid, a weapon, ammunition, Canadian currency, and various drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result, 40-year-old Jason CROMBEZ of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine, - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin) - two counts, - Unauthorized possession of a weapon, - Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, - Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 - in Canada, - Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court - two counts, - Failure to comply with undertaking - two counts, - Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order - two counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
