(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Haldimand/Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has charged an individual with multiple drug-trafficking offences following their arrest in Simcoe.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 2:13 pm, members of the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU arrested an individual on Culver Street in Simcoe as part of a drug-trafficking investigation.
During a search of the individual, officers seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and drug-related paraphernalia.
As a result, 47-year-old Jason BALCOMB of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:
- Traffic in Schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin), - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine, - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin), - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine, - Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada, - Fail to comply with Probation Order
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
