(WEST PERTH, ON) - Emergency services responded to a report of a structure fire and explosion in the Municipality of West Perth.

On October 31, 2025, at approximately 12:30 pm the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with West Perth Fire Department, responded to a report of a fire and explosion at a residential property on Perth Road 163 in the town of Fullerton.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but the residence was heavily damaged from the explosion. The residence was empty at the time of the incident, and no one was injured.

Perth Road 163 was temporarily closed while emergency services responded.

The cause of the incident was not deemed to be suspicious in nature. The OPP provided assistance with holding the scene while the Ontario Fire Marshals conducted their investigation into the cause of the incident.

The scene has since been released back to the owners of the property and resources have cleared the area. There is no risk to public safety.
