STUNT DRIVE LEADS TO SEVERAL OFFENCES
(BROCKTON, ON) - On November 29, 2025, a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement along Highway 9 in the Municipality of Brockton.
At approximately 8:07 pm, police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, activated their radar unit and observed a display speed in excess of 150km/h in a posted 80km/h zone. After the vehicle was stopped, the investigating officer spoke with the driver and detected signs of alcohol consumption. The driver refused the lawful demand to provide a breath sample and resisted arrest prior to being taken into custody. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a small quantity of suspected cocaine.
The vehicle was impounded for 14 days and the licence of the accused was suspended for 90 days.
Matthew ANDRUSKI, 44-years-old, resident of Walkerton was charged with:
- Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt, HTA 172(1)
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand, CC 320.15(1)
- Resist peace officer, CC 129(a)
- Possession of a schedule I substance, CDSA 4(1)
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available, CCA 12(1)
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor, LLCA 42(1)(a)
The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on January 7, 2026, to answer to the charges.
