SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING POLICE AFTER MISCHIEF COMPLAINT
(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident in the Town of Goderich.
On Sunday, December 28, 2025, just before 5:00 pm, Huron OPP officers were contacted about a dispute where an individual reportedly damaged property at an address on Lighthouse Street in Goderich. While investigating the mischief, the suspect threw liquid on an OPP officer. The accused was arrested and charged as follows:
Terrence HIGGS, 32 years-of-age of Goderich was charged with:
- Mischief Under $5,000, - Assault a Peace Officer
The accused was processed at the Huron OPP detachment, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on February 02, 2026.
