(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - An individual is facing charges following a suspicious vehicle complaint in Haldimand County.

On October 31, 2025, at approximately 10:00 am, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Haldimand Road 55, near Jarvis.

The investigation determined that a vehicle appeared to be following the complainant’s vehicle and began driving erratically in the direction of the complainant. The driver began yelling obscenities at the complainant, at which time they contacted the police.

As a result of the investigation, a 79-year-old from Simcoe was charged with the following offences:

• Dangerous Operation (three counts)
• Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
• Assault with a Weapon

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on a later date.
