(HURON EAST, ON) - The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident in the Town of Seaforth, Municipality of Huron East on December 07, 2025.

On Sunday, December 07, 2025, just after 3:00 pm, Huron OPP officers were contacted about an individual who was reportedly walking in Seaforth swinging a knife. Police located the suspect, who proceeded to confront the officers with a knife. Officers used a conducted energy weapon (CEW) to safely control the suspect, who was taken into custody and charged as follows:

Amber COLEMAN, 33 years-of-age of Goderich has been charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, - Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, - Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order - (six counts), - Fail to Comply with Probation - (six counts), - Fail to Comply with Release Order

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody. The accused has a later court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
