(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) - The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three drivers in impaired driving related investigations.

On July 18, 2025, at approximately 1:00 pm, officers were dispatched to a report of a fail to remain collision on County Road 9 in Greater Napanee. Officers responded and located the vehicle and driver a short time later. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing. No injuries were sustained.

As a result, an 18-year-old from Greater Napanee was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation
  • Failure to stop after accident

On July 18, 2025, just after 9:00 pm, officers were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision on County Road 2 in Greater Napanee and were advised that the vehicle had since left the scene. Officers responded and located the vehicle and driver a short time later. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.

As a result, a 28-year-old from Deseronto was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous operation

On July 21, 2025, just before 1:00 am, officers were dispatched to a report of a single vehicle collision on County Road 41 in Addington Highlands Township. Officers responded and located the vehicle and driver who was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for further testing. As part of the investigation, a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer was utilized.

As a result, a 22-year-old from Brampton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood drug concentration
  • Careless driving
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

All accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date.
